New Music: Slim - Wish List

This has been a busy year for Slim of 112. The group put out a new album, Forever and a slew of music albums to promote the album. Well, that wasn't enough for Slim as he just released a new solo track, Wish List (I'll Give It To You).

We have been all in on Christmas music this year, featuring posts recently like Deborah Cox's I Really Don't Want Much For Christmas and the remake of Boyz II Men's Let It Snow. It's great seeing all these artists keep the holidays alive while promoting new music.

So how does Wish List stand up? Overall, it's a solid song by Slim. I always worry about his solo material as I find his voice fairly monotone. However, it works well on this track and provides a nice change up from the usual Christmas fare. I like the up-tempo pace and the way the song deals with treating your girl right while also playing on the Christmas theme. It's catchy, and worth listening to.
