New Christmas Music: Deborah Cox - I Really Don't Want Much For Christmas
It has been 12 years since Deborah Cox last album, The Promise was released. As she gears up for a new album next year, she is getting us in the Christmas spirit with her new song, "I Really Don't Want Much For Christmas."
Deborah Cox seems all in on Christmas time, as last year around this time she released an original Christmas song, "Gimme Some Christmas." While this year's song is a rendition of the track that was originally penned for Eric Benet, her impressive delivery gives it a new sense of feeling. The way she performs here, it almost feels like Whitney Houston is back delivering a Christmas message.
If you can't get enough of Deborah Cox and her Christmas songs, she's actually doing a Christmas special in Miami on December 19 at the Ziff Ballet Opera House. The performance is expected to be socially distanced, but will feature this new single, as well as more secular fair.
And if you really just can't get enough of Christmas, we've got more recommendations for you. We recently did a feature of the Best R&B Christmas Songs and also built a list of all the classic R&B Christmas albums. Be sure to check those out as well.
Listen to Deborah Cox's new song below, and let us know what you think. Do all of her Christmas songs make you want to hear her new album? Or are you ready for her to just go back to classic R&B songs?
