John Legend performs Never Break, Glory at the DNC

While we're now onto the Republican National Convention (RNC), the Democratic National Convention (DNC) was a bigger show for R&B music so we'll be covering that. John Legend performed twice at the DNC, first performing "Never Break" on the second night, and then closed out the entire convention in a perofrmance with Common as they sang "Glory."

John Legend has been in the news a lot lately. His music video for Wild revealed that him and Chrissy Teigen are expecting another child. He also did a performance on NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts earlier this month. So I'm starting to wonder if John ever sleeps.

Oh the second night, John Legend sang Never Break from his new album, Bigger Love. The song has a haunting feel to it, really packing the power. I'm normally not a fan of his, but the religious feel to this track helps elevate it to another level for me. Hearing the supporting chorus, it's just a great experience all around.

The performance of Glory was part of a powerful showing in honor of the late, great John Lewis. Prior to their performance, there was a video montage in memory of John Lewis. Then Legend and Common performed their Academy Award-winning track.

Overall, the DNC was a great showcase for John Legend. He has been promoting his work everywhere and anywhere lately, providing a great show every time. Check out the performances below and let us know what you think.
