Milira
Milira got her start after winning a singing contest at the legendary Apollo Theater. Her success helped her get a recording contract with the Motown distributed Apollo record lbabel.
Her debut album, the self-titled Milira came out in 1989 and performed reasonably well. The album had two charting singles with 'Mercy Mercy Me' reaching #21 on the R&B charts and 'Go Outside In The Rain' reaching #36.
Back Again! Milira's sophomore release came out in 1992 but did have much commercial success. The album's singles didn't do well on the charts with 'One Man Woman' peaking at #45 and 'Three's A Crowd' barely even making it onto the charts. The album was Milira's last work despite her immense talent and strong vocal abilities.
