Jersey Ave

Jersey Ave

Jersey Ave was an R&B quartet made up of brothers Jacob, Jason, Nathan and Anthony Latimore. The boys grew up in Indianapolis on New Jersey Avenue where they were immersed in music. Both of their parents were singers and their father, Anthony Latimore Sr., helped drive the group's musical talent by taking them hospitals to perform.

The Latimore brothers loved music and began traveling as the gospel group Lamore. The family moved to Milwaukee and in 1994, the brothers released an album titled Lamore.

The brothers changed their name to Jersey Ave as they decided to break beyond the gospel genre. They signed to MCA where they put out a self-titled debut album in 2001 on MCA. Showing the brothers roots, they had a fifth brother Ivan who planned on joining the group after he graduated from high school.
