Chuckii Booker
Chuckii Booker was born in 1962 in Los Angeles, California. While Booker was good at playing guitar and drums by the age of 14, he actually wanted to do graphic art than music. In 1984, Booker got his start recording music when he was signed by his godfather, Barry White. He stayed on the label briefly but left after White failed to put out an LP he had made.
Shortly after, Booker joined a band called Tease, where he played the keyboard. Booker has recorded as an instrumentalist with a variety of artists, including Vanessa Williams, Troop, Kool & the Gang and Janet Jackson. He signed with Atlantic Records and in 1989, reeased his debut album Chuckii. The album scored a #1 R&B hit with 'Turned Away' and scored two more solid tracks with '(Don't U Know) I Love U' which reached #4, and 'Touch' which reached #13.
The album was successful enough that Booker was able to release the follow up, Niice 'n' Wiild in 1992. Booker had another #1 R&B hit with 'Games' and a lesser success with 'I Should Have Loved You' which reached #38.
Since then, Booker has worked with Diana Ross, Angela Winbush, Anastacia and many more.
