New Video: Trey Songz - Circles
Trey Songz has a new video out for the song Circles. The song is further promotion for his upcoming album, Back Home, which is due out later in 2020. We recently covered another track by Trey Songz as he released How Many Times to speak out for black lives matter.
The video for Circles is directed by Mahaneela and includes another message to black lives matter as the video closes out. It also includes a weird clip in the middle involving a police officer which may be a reference to the fight as well. It doesn't mesh well with the rest of the video and shows a stark change in the song as the track goes silent and we hear only a heart beat.
The rest of the video fits well with the song as it showcases men and women struggling to understand where their relationship is going. As the chorus says, "We keep going in circles." That message is represented literally in the opening segments of the song as a truck is doing doughnuts in a parking lot.
The song is a nice track that throws back to his debut album, I Gotta Make It. Overall, I've been impressed with the music Trey Songz has put out lately and am interested to see what the new album sounds like. Check out the music video for Circles below.
