New Music: Tony Terry - Born to Luv Ya

Tony Terry's been around for a long time. When I think of him, I immediately think of his 1990 self-titled album and the hit song With You. Slow, crooning classic R&B. He had some crazy talent but it's definitely very 90s.

So when I saw he had a new single out, Born to Luv Ya, I thought that's cute, but wasn't expecting much. Once again, I was wrong. Tony Terry's got it in a big way, and he's not stuck in the 90s. The song has a nice beat, the right tempo, and Terry's great voice. Seriously, it has been 34 years since his debut album. It's not fair to sound this good.

The song feels very reminiscent of Eric Benet to me. The song should be out on streaming services today and can be requested to any R&B radio stations, so get it out there. And hey, don't take my word for it. Check out the link at the end of the article and get ready for some fire.

As of yet, it's unclear if this is the first single on a new album planned for later this year. Tony Terry's last release was the 2015 album I Tony 6, which itself was his first return in more than 14 years. If this is what we're in for, I am very excited for the new album. Check out the song below!
