New Music: Kem - Live Out Your Love

For a 10 year stretch, Kem dominated the R&B industry. Kemistry, Album II, Intimacy Album III and Promise To Live all dominated the R&B charts and saw a great deal of cross over success on the hot 100. We've been on the longest break in Kem's career, as it has been six years since Promise To Love came out. Kem is back and working with Toni Braxton on a new single, Live Out Your Love, he's still got it.

It's amazing, how even after a six year break, Kem still runs the show. Lie to Me has been holding down the R&B charts for six weeks. Now with Live Out Your Love, Kem has a follow-up track that should firmly keep him on top. The track borrows heavily from Marvin Gaye's Mercy Mercy Me, and the influence steers the track towards a great sound.

Both of them sound great, and Live Out Your Love is fire. It's crazy to think about, due to COVID-19, the two didn't even record in the same space together but you can tell that didn't phase them. Both Toni Braxton and Kem are legends in R&B so they are able to make things work no matter the situation.

The song will be featured on Kem's next album, Love Always Wins, which will be released on August 28th. Based on what we've seen, between this and Lie to Me, I think it's a safe bet to say that the album will reaffirm Kem's hand on the R&B industry. Between that and Bradny's album coming out tomorrow, it's looking like a great time for R&B music.
