New Music: Alexander O'Neal and Christopher Williams - Roses

As a site dedicated to classic R&B, it often gets hard talking about new music. While there are some great songs that have come out in recent years, few pack that feeling of a classic slow jam that says "I love you" like nothing else. So when I saw a new duet by Christopher Williams and Alexander O'Neal, I knew we were in for a treat.

The two forces in R&B came together to put out a new single, "Roses." The song was written by Gregg Jackson and produced by Mark Morrison and it just hits all the right notes. This song is pure early 90s R&B, professing loyalty and captivation for the woman who has stolen their hearts.

It's great seeing these guys continue to push music forward and to honor their legacies. Alexander O'Neal has been a driving force in the industry for so long, with no one able to deny the impact "Saturday Love" had. And with Christopher Williams, he's been quiet in the game for a while, but he was such a force in the early 90s, I'm hoping this is him saying he's here to stay.

Overall, this is a great throwback track and it's well worth the listen. We'll keep you updated as these men continue to keep classic R&B alive.
