Standing with the R&B Haven family against police brutality

Across social media and throughout towns and cities in America, people are saying enough is enough. After the murder of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, it has felt like justice isn't truly for all.

I hadn't intended to bring politics onto this site. After all, we're here for music. Music is a way for us to escape from the world and get away from the things around us.

However, music is so much more than that. Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" and Stevie Wonder's "Living for the City" showcased strong voices speaking out on social issues and demanding change. Hearing voices to back us and stand against what's wrong helps echo our voices when we struggle to stand strong.

This post is in appreciation of everyone who is out there. The fight is long, but I truly hope this time, A Change IS Gonna Come. Stand up for what's right and demand action.

Angie Stone made this video in 2015 from her song Brotha. It's a beautiful video for a great song, and unfortunately continues to be topical. Lets hope this time, we can move the bar further.
