Y?N-Vee formed in the early 1990s and was a female R&B group on Island Def Jam. The group was comprised of Natasha Walker, Tescia Harris, Nicole Chaney, and Yenan Ragsdale.

The group had only relatively minimal success, with their biggest hit coming from "Freedom," a track they did for the movie Panther. The track "Freedom" was a female anthem, with Aaliyah, BlackGirl, En Vogue and many others appearing on the track. The song charted at #18 on the R&B charts.

The group released one album, Y?N-Vee in 1994 which had three singles. "Chocolate" reached #39 on the R&B charts while "I'm Goin' Down" reached #57. The group's third single, "4 Play" did not chart.
