The Voices

The Voices

The group The Voices was a female quartet that came out during the early 1990s. The group was comprised of Monique Wilson, Arike Rice, and sisters LaPetra and LaToya McMoore.

On January 1, 1992, the group debuted with their album Just The Beginning on Zoo Entertainment. The album featured singles 'Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!' and 'M.M.D.R.N.F. (My Mama Didn't Raise No Fool).' The singles did fairly well on the charts with the former reaching #14 on the R&B charts and the latter reaching #53. The group only released one album before fading from the scene. Rice went on to be a member of the group Before Dark.

Interestingly, the single 'Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!' actually featured Tia and Tamera Mowry in the quartet instead of two of the other girls. However, the Mowry sisters were offered the leads in the show Sister, Sister shortly after the video for 'Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!' was released and left the group.
