Terry Ellis
Terry Ellis was born in 1966 in Houston, Texas. She received a degree in Marketing from Prairie View A&M University after which, she joined the group En Vogue.
Initially, En Vogue was designed to be a trio like the Supremes, but Ellis impressed the producers so much that the group became a quartet. Ellis is still with the group and is currently on tour with the group.
In 1995, the group went on hiatus, giving Ellis time to record and release her own solo album, Southern Gal. The cd scored two R&B hits with 'Where Ever You Are' reaching #10 on the R&B charts and 'What Did I Do To You?' reaching #41 on the R&B charts.
