Mark 'Sisqo' Andrews was born in Baltimore, Maryland and formed a group with friends that became known as Dru Hill. The group released two platinum LPs in the late 90s, in large part to the lead singer Sisqo's presentation.
When Woody left the group in 1999 to pursue solo work, the other members did the same. Sisqo's solo album Unleash the Dragon came out in 1999 and initially had only moderate success. However, once the single 'Thong Song' came out, the album gained far more attention. The single made it to number-three on the charts. Later, 'Incomplete' was released which made it all the way to number-one. The album eventually went on to sell four million copies.
When the group was unable to resolve differences in late 2000, Sisqo began working on a second LP. The second cd, Return of Dragon was released in 2001 and went platinum. However, its singles did far worse than his first album. Sisqo is currently working on a third solo album, titled Last Dragon.
