Public Announcement

Public Announcement

Public Announcement is oftentimes simplified into just R. Kelly. While R. Kelly was the lead singer on the group's debut CD Born Into the 90s the group was very much a sum of all of its parts.

The album, Born Into the 90s, came out in early 1992 and was a decent success, eventually selling over a million copies. R. Kelly left the group shortly thereafter and they seemingly disappeared from the scene.

Yet in 1998, Public Announcement resurfaced, comprised of members Feloney, Earl L.C., Glenn Mac and Mar-K. The group released the album All Work, No Play. The album contained hit single 'Body Bumpin Yippie-Yi-Yo' which peaked at number 5 on the Hot 100 charts.

Continuing onwards, the group released the album Don't Hold Back in 2001 and in late 2005, the new group released their third album, When the Smoke Clears.
