Mista

The group Mista was formed by Organized Noize in the early 1990s and was a quartet of young male vocalists. The group is most well known because of its member, Bobby Valentino who continues to be a force in the industry today.

In 1996, the group released their first and only album, The self-titled Mista. The album had one small hit with Blackberry Molasses which reached #13 on the R&B charts. The album's second single, Lady, reached #61 on the R&B charts.

After the release of their album, the group's efforts to produce a second album seemed in vain as they could not find support. Bobby left the group to attend Clark Atlanta University and eventually went on to start his own solo career.
