Liberty City

Liberty City was an R&B quartet that came out in 2000 with their debut album, Liberty City Fla on Jive Records. The group rode the wave of popular R&B acts like K-Ci & JoJo and R Kelly, but failed to differentiate themselves much, featuring a relatively derivative, consistently mid-tempo sound.

Despite their derivative sound, Liberty City did well on these mid-tempo tracks and had a track, "Cheatin'" on the Shaft soundtrack. The group had two singles on their debut album, "24-7," and "Who's She Lovin Now." The tracks reached #75 and #64 on the R&B charts respectively.

The group also released a track in 1994 titled "If You Really Love Someone," which reached #23 on the dance charts.
