Christopher Williams
Troy Christopher Williams was born in 1967 in The Bronx, New York. Signed to Uptown Records, Williams first appeared on the scene in the late 1980s.
In 1989, Williams released his first album, Adventures in Paradise A. The album featured the hit singles 'Talk To Myself' which reached #4 on the charts, and 'Promises, Promises' which reached #7.
Working on the soundtrack for New Jack City in 1991, Williams scored his biggest hit to date. His track, 'I'm Dreamin' was his only #1 single on the R&B charts.
Following on the success of the single, Williams released his sophomore album, Changes, in 1992. The album's first single, 'Every Little Thing U Do' reached #7 on the R&B tracks, and the second, 'All I See' reached #19.
Not A Perfect Man, Williams third album, was released in 1995. The album failed to have the presence of his earlier works and only had one single do respectably well on the charts, with 'Dance 4 Me' reached #25 on the R&B boards.
Outside of the music world, Williams has a son with actress Stacey Dash. He once dated the famous actress Halle Berry and was accused of having beaten her badly. However, Williams reportedly identifies Wesley Snipes as being the one to have abused her.
In 2001, Williams released his last album, Real Men Do. It had little impact on the charts.
Williams was rumored to have died in his home in 2005. However, this was eventually proven to be untrue.
