BeBe & CeCe Winans
The group BeBe & CeCe Winans is comprised of siblings, Benjamin and Priscilla Winans. The two started as a group when the television show "The PTL Club" asked the two to be background singers on the show. They lived on the PTL campus in North Carolina and worked on the show for five years. At the show, the two released an album titled Lord Lift Us Up.
The two left the show to perform singing careers and remained a duet for several years. Their first album outside of PTL was the self-titled BeBe & CeCe Winans and was released in 1987 via Capitol Records. The album had a moderate hit with 'I.O.U. Me' which reached number 49 on the R&B charts. The group earned three Grammy nominations for the album and won one (gospel).
In 1988, the group's second album, Heaven, came out as a much more successful R&B hit. The album went gold and had R&B hits with the title track, 'Lost Without You,' and 'Celebrate Life.'
The group's popularity continued to grow with their third album, the platinum-selling Different Lifestyles. The album was released in 1991 and scored a duo of #1 R&B hits with 'Addictive Love' and 'I'll Take You There.'
Relationships, the group's fourth and final album, was released in 1994. The album continued the commercial success of the group's earlier initiatives and went gold.
Both BeBe and CeCe went on after their work together to a solo career that produced several albums. It's reported that th two have reunited for a new album in 2008.
