These songs are all about the post break-up feelings of wanting to be be back with your girl. The songs are all filled with regret or efforts to win the girl's heart again. Here's a video previewing all of the listed songs.
1. Avant - 4 Minutes
So it's not a 90s song but I don't care. This track by Avant defines the concept of winning a girl back. He find his girl getting ready to leave and does everything he can to keep her there.
2. Brian McKnight - The Way Back to Your Heart
A beautiful track by Brian McKnight. He tells a girl to guide him back to her so that he can be in her arms again. Very sweet, very romantic.
3. K-Ci & JoJo - All The Things I Should Have Known
Off the group's X album, K-Ci & JoJo shine on this track. Singing about how they messed up and wish they'd known more about what was going on in their relationship, the guys really shine on this one.
4. Boyz II Men - Down on Bended Knees
Sometimes, you just gotta get down on your knees and plead. Boyz II Men gets right down to it on this one as they ask a girl to get back with them and forgive all the trouble that's occurred.
5. Luther Vandross - I'd Rather
Luther never lost his talent and this great track shows it. From his self-titled effort, Luther tells a girl that he messed up when he left her and he'd rather be stuck in bad times with her, than in good times with anyone else.
6. Babyface - Reason for Breathing
In Reason For Breathing, Babyface shows his weakness as he tells a girl that he can't get by without her. He really lets his emotions out on this one and tells the girl how he's feeling.
7. Hi-Five - Never Should Have Let You Go
Hi-Five offer an up-tempo sound on this song that's similar in message to Luther Vandross's I'd Rather. The guys tell a girl that they messed up and in the end, they shouldn't have let their relationship end.
8. Dru Hill - I Love You
Dru Hill's I Love You has a dark brooding feel to it as the guys tell a girl that they'd wished they'd never been with her at all. This quickly changes as the guys realize they don't know what they'd do without her, and let her know just how much they love her.
9. Kevon Edmonds - No Love
A nice up-tempo jam by Kevon Edmonds, he sings to his girl that he's not used to being alone. He confesses that he doesn't like the way things are and that if she'll give him another chance, he'll prove he's different. A great song through and through.
10. Marc Dorsey - Crave
You can contest that Marc Dorsey is singing more about losing his love than about getting her back in his song Crave. However, I don't care. The song sounds so good as he looks for her to be back in his life, that I think it's legitimate enough.
