Anyone Else Hate Ne-Yo's Voice?
R&B Guru 2009-10-15 15:25:37 Total Posts: 2527	So I love Ne-Yo's lyrics, I think he's one of the best writers in the game and his songs are often complex and clever in their delivery. But listening to some of his songs, I think he's crazy weak as a singer. I guess I never noticed it before because his writing often fits to his voice so he doesn't need to be pressed into really driving vocals. But man, when you hear him doing a power ballad, he sucks it hard. Ne-Yo's really talented, but i think largely it's because he knows what he is capable of and writes/produces very well for that. Ne-Yo can sing the songs he does really well because they are fit for his style. But when he tries to do standard R&B, he's got nothing. haha yeaaa that's bad.
