This song came out around late '99 early 2000s. It was a female singer who had a music video on BET about being on a date with a guy (Blind Date?). The guy sort of looked like Mario Winans with braids. They were at a carnival or playing mini-golf of some sort. The chorus/title of song when along lines of "Spend tonight with you" or "Spend my time with you", I'm not sure. During the song she goes into harmony singing: "Le Le Le La, La La La, Le Le Le La, La La La."
I can't remember her name for the life of me. I'm guessing Latoya, Toya, Tanya, I have no clue.
I personally do not like the song. For an album like "Confessions" that has done so well for it to be followed up with Here I Stand and an album that is going to talk about a marriage he was just defending just seems weird. I think he would have done better with releasing a party track.
I hear Papers on the radio alot and I think it would have been better on his "here I stand" album. All his songs are starting to sound alike to me, he still is a great singer but he starting to go downhill a little bit.
