The song sounds better than Open Arms to me. Any idea who the female is singing?

I was just about to ask about the woman.

I like Open Arms better, it just sounds like a great power ballad. This song was enjoyable but I don't know, didn't really grab me as much.

they took some time between a song. and nathan explained on stage about how for their 20th anniversary they are possibly gonna bring michael back. i dont know if he's actually gonna go on tour with them again or if he's just gonna be in the group working on albums or whatever, but either way, it would be great.

Im going to see them again live soon on Oct 16 in San Ramon. ill let you guys know if any updates come up.

You know... I'm going to say this and perhaps get flamed for it, BUT.... as a HUGE BoyzIIMen fan (I have something like 7 CDs or so and I'll be straight up - I stopped at Nathan/Michael/Shawn/Wanya) which I think was a REALLY weak CD for them (barring Never Go Away and Lovely) and the departure of Michael McCary didn't do them ANY favors in terms of crowd/fan appeal. Vocally, I think it hurt them, but only slightly as Nathan can do the high tenor/soprano as well as the lower notes (his vocal range is incredible).

I'd like to see them get back together and get back to some of the Motown flavor that they had around the time of Cooleyhighharmony and II. Faster cuts have kinda been the bane of their existence IMO, which is ironic cause Motownphilly, the first cut they dropped as I recall..., was a hot, hype dance joint.

Time will tell. I think they need all four members and some VERY well written material that capitalizes off of their outrageously good harmony. Then? Well, we could be looking at a potentially fruitful comeback.

so i just saw the boyz again. pretty much the same kinda concert. i could of met them in person but i didnt have freakin 30 bucks on me. =[

if anyone has noticed in their concerts, they sing a lot of their songs half a key/whole key lower. i mean its still great and all but im wondering if its bcuz of wanyas throat problem? anyway

they ran through their motown/old school/hits concert routine again. nathan did explain a lil more bout michaels return. he said that they want him to come back next year for the 20th anniv, but they said it is all up to him and told the crowd not to get too excited. nathan also elaborated more on the "love" album.

man, michael belongs in the group. he betta say yes.

on another note...if he does come back. they need to call up babyface and/or colab with b.mcknight more (cant wait for his album). and start with a new fresh album or something.

Yea Nathan is definitely keeping the group together with his vocal talents, I'm with you all the way there Nyckei. Too bad he seems like such a dick in all their video footage.

And thanks for the info Boy, it would be great to see Michael back and a return to their older formula. I've never been a fan of that pay to meet artists thing. It just seems too money hungry :-\

R&B Guru - I totally agree! Nate, while vocally gifted, seems like he's a bit of a jerk. I understand that he handles the lion's share of BIIMs business affairs and he's holding down a dual roles vocally, but there's NOTHING wrong with cultivating some PEOPLE SKILLS. I'm following Shawn on Twitter and he seems like a decent dude. His tweets are chuckle worthy.

Vints - agreed. I think a 20th without Michael is kind of... Pointless? Glad you got to see the Boyz in concert though. Nice! And yes, their first phone call needs to be to some seriously good ballad writers. I think a well-constructed comeback can be done for them - they have the vocal talents and the fan base behind them. But I think the old crowd as well as the younger gen won't settle for anything less than CLASSIC BoyzIIMen formulas, less they get accused of not being relevant by the young cats and turning their backs on what made them great by the old cats.

yea nathan is actually my favorite member of the group. bcuz i mean he made the group and without him..and his vocals. no boyz II men.

as far as him being a jerk, i actually have sympathy for him. im sure he has people skills, he just doesnt show it as often as shawn/wanya.

he is the least recognized member but he contributes the most. and for some reason i cant find anything on him ever being married or whatever. i dont want to get into details or anything but im pretty sure he is a nice dude.

he has to be, he sings about love all the time..haha

Idk, he seems like a jerk to me.

Look at both these clips. Nathan spews out so many vulgarities and just sounds downright agressive.

Maybe he's a nice guy in person, but he sure doesn't pitch himself well with all the web 2.0

I've heard things about the Boyz in high school and how Nate used to pick on Shawn. Apparently, he and Marc used to be bullies lol. However, I was watching the Boyz II Men VHS and Nate seems like definitely cares for his friends and is more of the "comical" member of the group.

haha it's all in good fun, just speculating :). Of course we don't know any of them in real life so it's just fun guessing :).

That's interesting about th ebullying though moof, where'd you hear that haha.

And what do you guys think? Why's Nate always been the "invisible man" in the group when it comes to popular opinion? (In simple words... why does everyone seem to like Wanya/Shawn better)

I'm pretty sure it was somewhere on Boyz2men.org. However, it was a long time ago, maybe anybody else heard the same thing?
