As I fix more artists and discover more YouTube videos that have been taken off for "copyright infringement" I have to ask. Why do record labels CARE if you put music videos on youtube? Now step through this one with me.

Music Videos aren't typically sold right? The main purpose of the videos is to PROMOTE the album and the song it represents. So WHY would labels get upset if you have a music video on YouTube and demand it get removed? Even worse, is when they let you keep the video up, but remove the ability to show it on other sites. So you don't mind if people see this video... you just don't want them to see it elsewhere? WHY?

Sorry for that one, this is just one of the things that drives me nuts. It makes me so mad when a video we have from YouTube gets disabled, and it's a real rare video, thereby eliminating anyone from ever seeing it.

Videos are meant as promotional material. So why stop them from promoting?

Because they are all about Tomfoolery that's why. They are so use to being so greedy they're greedy even to the free stuff. Go figure, Tomfoolery I say. LOL
