Personally, it's hard to say who sings better because both have their own unique sound and are very soulful. If I can to pick for today's decade I would say Brandy. Somewhere after "The Boy Is Mine" album Monica just lost it and like R&B Guru said I guess he got caught up in synthesizer and rapping. In my opinion I think "Full Moon" and her latest album "Human" is are great CDs. "Afrodisiac" was pretty decent, and was more upbeat. The last album I brought by Monica was "After The Storm" and that album was ok, she still had her 90s sound, but was kind of losing it and going toward the rapping and street vibe which isn't Monica. | |||
TLCBeyonceTLC 2009-08-02 22:52:09 Total Posts: 31 | MONICA....ALL DAY EVERY DAY....Some Of U All May Not Like Her Songs Or Current Songs, But She Has A Soulful/Gospel Voice....Brandy Can't Sing To Me...She Can Carry A Tune, When She First Came Out She Was Sanging, But After That Her Voice Stayed The Same...NO RANGE....It Wasn't Until "Full Moon" Where She TRIED To Use Her Head Voice, And That Didn't Go Far, B/c She Doesn't Have A High Range...Yeah She Can Do Some Runs, But That's It....The Only Album I Like Of Hers Is "Brandy" & "Full Moon"...And They Weren't All The Songs I Like, But Had More On Them Than The Rest Of Her Albums....Monica Has Some Good Songs, Yet She Has Some Bad Ones...But That Voice Is A Huge Instrument Itself.... | |||
