What do you think of it on the R&B side? Songs like... "U Don't Know My Name" by Alicia Keys "I'll Do Anything/I'm Sorry" by Ginuwine "Foolish" by Ashanti
bunky1787 2009-08-12 19:49:21 Total Posts: 440 | It's okay as long as the singers are making it their own creation and not just stealing it, you know what I mean?
R&B Guru 2009-08-12 20:06:23 Total Posts: 2527 | Yea, I'm with bunky. The thing that bothers me the most though, is the almost duplication of music today. A lot of production seems to be getting really lazy as you'll hear almost identical samples on a number of tracks. I think about 5 songs all used the same beat as Jaheim's Put That Woman First when it came out. Then you've got Beyonce's Halo and Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone. I mean, being inspired and using allusions to other records is cool... but there's a line.
