What is your opinion on R&B songs that sample old songs?

What do you think of it on the R&B side? Songs like... A lot of production seems to be getting really lazy as you'll hear almost identical samples on a number of tracks. I think about 5 songs all used the same beat as Jaheim's Put That Woman First when it came out. Then you've got Beyonce's Halo and Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone.
