Yea, but the ones who sing are black so it's not worth really factoring in those members lol.

Boyz II Men is generally considered a pop group. I remember watching an interview with Dalvin Degrate where he mentioned Boyz II Men being strictly pop not R&B.

I think Jodeci changed what defined R&B during the 90s. Wholesome boys next door groups (boyz II Men,All 4 One Etc.) were considered pop because they didn't fit the "thug" image jodeci created.

That seems like bullshit to me. R&B has been around forever and it was only in the 90s that the thug persona started to emerge. It created a vein of R&B but it definitely doesn't remove everything else from the genre

I wasn't really a fan of All 4 One I liked all the singles they released, but I never had their album. If they come out with this new album I will support them this time.

Interestingly, I might be able to do an interview with them. I received an email yesterday about it... I'll keep you guys posted.

Yea, I did the interview tonight. Great guys. I'm going to try and edit it this weekend and get it up early next week.

I don't really remember what I was thinking that day. But, what I meant is that the "thug" persona is what became popular and more R&B artists/groups copied that. Ginuwine, Usher, Jagged Edge, Dru Hill and 112 etc... It doesn't eliminate the others but I think as that image caught on those who didn't follow were pushed aside as to being "pop" acts.
