So I keep forgetting about it, but All-4-One has a new album coming up titled No Regrets. Normally I shrug the guys off as a poor man's Boyz II Men, but with Boyz II Men doing all the cover songs lately, I'm starting to change my tune.

THEN, I heard some new songs from All-4-One's upcoming album... and they definitely are tight songs. It's still clearly a two member group, but I don't know, I'm really liking this stuff.

Check these tracks out:

My Child

Key To Your Heart

When I Needed An Angel

And lastly, the more modern sounding song:

Regret

What do you guys think?

EDIT: Haha, hey Buddha. There's a trick for you. If we put links as html code (using that a tag), they probably won't break the sidebar since it'll just show your name for em :)

hrmmm? Two of them sing and don't sound too bad, but they literally go back and forth. I don't think I've EVER heard athe other two

(or do you dislike one of those dudes?)

I only like Deelius (Thats his name?). The one with the powerful voice, I hate when guys sound like girls when they sing.

And I am so phucking tired of people confusing them with Boyz II Men, they sound nothing alike lol.

Haha, I gotcha. Still, I think their new tracks sound pretty legit, even if it's a one (two) man show.

I don't know why people mix them up with Boyz II Men. I think it's just a sort of round to the nearest group you know (see Shai as another example)

The new tracks are nothing special, just like them. They should change their name to that.

Johnny that's probably the best thing I've ever heard you say... LMAO

@Guru in "So In Love" you can hear the nerdy looking white guy with glasses go into his false near the end. The other guy is the bass singer and he has like one line during "I Swear"

Lol thanks Moofu. Honestly Guru I think you are in a party of one in the liking of new All 4 One, or any All 4 One for that matter. Well maybe ILIKEIT is in the party too, but we know ilikeit likes everything lol.

Haha, I don't know, I just have a thing for some of their music.

Not Ready For Goodbye, Beautiful As You, Heaven Sent, Someday, These Arms...

They're not Boyz II Men good, and they're very much sappy love music, but they do it well. Compared to what's out today, I think their new album pretty much trumps all of it. AND it's original material.

Moofu, thanks for the reference, one of them being the bass explains why he's so quiet... thye don't make him talk like Michael in BIIM lol

I like All 4 One but after their first two hits I think they became too "poppy" for my taste. Heaven Sent, Beautiful As You and Not Ready For Goodbye are good songs but they sound too much like the backstreet boys or N Sync.

Hrm Moofu.. did that curse resurface? Lol you just posted the first post..

But yea, their later songs definitely shifted more towards adult contemporary/boy band-esque tracks. It's funny, I don't really know WHAT makes the difference but I was feeling the same way.

Still, I think their new material is moving back more towards the urban sound.

Hahaha, I don't know what's going on with that. My computer has been acting up a bit for the last couple days too.

After hearing everybodies thought on the last topic you made, race seemed to be the biggest difference. With the line blurred so much between pop and R&B the race of the group seemed to be the other thing that set them apart from eachother.

I don't know if it's race though, because listening to All-4-One and the group 4PM, they both sound more like what I would define as pop (more adult contemporary) than R&B. And yet they're black. Likewise, Kai is more adult contemporary but they're asian.

So I don't know.

Aren't two of their singers non black? Isn't one white and the other Latino?
