| Know anyone in the Debarge family? | ||||
jujumusiq 2009-08-03 11:43:05  Total Posts: 28 | It's crazy how talented the entire family is...I heard Kristinia Debarge's single "Goodbye" on the radio the other day and when I went online to check out more of her music I realized that she's the niece of R&B king Chico Debarge! I can't believe I didn't put two and two together. Anyways I saw him on Good Day NY the a couple weeks ago (http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/good_day_ny/090715_Chico_DeBarge) promoting his new album Addiction...you guys think hes still got it?? | |||
R&B Guru 2009-08-03 17:27:33  Total Posts: 2527 | Yea, we talked about Chico in one of the other threads. The problem with Chico is that, while a strong vocalist, he has no presence IMO. He's too much of a soul artist trying to sing soft. Still, I'd love to see a sing off between the DeBarge, the Jackson and the Winan family. Maybe add the late LeVerts in for a four way show down. | |||

But I understand where Babyface was going with this girl. She's got the Debarge name and look but no pipes. Where else can you sell a pretty face great name and no pipes? If you look on youtube she has a video where she is doing a live season i think with Face and she sings better than on her Cds i think she does not need to sound great when shes making pop but she definitely can sing. | |||
