I think the R surrounded himself with yes men and stopped pushing to hone his skills. I'm gonna be straight up. On that note, there was actually a group organizing a boycott of R Kelly until he would formally apologize for his behavior and seek help for his... desires. (That newsbits courtesy of a site loyalist who needs to join the forums but instead, hits my email hahaha). But he let it take over and now that's all he makes. If he retired in 2003 I would easily pick him as the greatest r&b artist EVER(4 classic albums and 1 very good album). His musical legacy is tainted(which has nothing to do with the scandel).
