http://www.sohh.com/2009/07/the-dream_quits_rb_album.html

hitmaker The-Dream has announced his retirement from making albums and explained why his next album will be his last.

The singer also revealed his "final" release's title.
"I'm almost finished with Love King," Dream revealed in an interview. "It's the third album and my final album, actually. I'm not doing an album after that. I've accomplished what I've accomplished. I feel like I'd rather kill The-Dream than somebody else kill me. So that's the big headline there, killing The-Dream...It's over with, so nobody has to worry about 'Has he lost it,' 'When's it gonna drop,' 'Where's it at.' I'm giving you the last record 'cause I said it was the last record before you telling me which one is the last record. I'll just tell you."

Good riddance. I wish many others would go this route. You know he is full of it though and this is a ruse to sell more copies of his fourth album.

HAHAHA Great post Buddha. I saw the title and was like, crap, is this one of those internet marketer spammers again?

Still, would it be retirement or a jay-z/michael jordan retirement where you know they'll be back?

And I fully support T-pain joining The Dream

Wow I actually don't believe Dream will step away from it all, to be quite honest. Guess we'll see! I'm sure he'll still be doing features and stuff, so we aren't really saved lol

I was thinking about it. How much you wanna bet this is similar to the way Immature became IMX?

The-Dream is retiring... but the musician is staying, he's just changing his name because he's achieved everything he wanted under that moniker.

We need to look on the bright side Chico, Joe, Ginuwine, Maxwell and Case all had new albums. We just to get rid of Kells (unless he goes back to his old stuff), Chris Brown (His career is pretty much done neways), T-Pain, Lil Wayne and Kanye West.
