nice you went to one of the beyonce shows? How was the set? I've never been to that big of a concert before.

Beyonce could suck it. That is about as helpful as I can be in this thread as I never go to concerts

haha. Well, if you were close to me, I'd say you should change that early August since Kevon Edmonds is doing a FREE show in New Jersey :).

But yea, I've mixed feelings about concerts. I mostly like to go to put a face to a name, but oftentimes, the people singing around you drowns out the actual vocals and it's not as nice (and more expensive) as listening to the cd.

Beyonce put it down the set was crazy she had an amazing video wall. And her vocals were off the chain. And Johnny if you're going to be a music fan you have to start buying a concert tix or cd or something. If not what's the point. LOL

i wish i seen them live.... :( where did you see them? i did see beyonce just recently as well (for free)..... i dont like her music but must admit she killed it and had an amazing video background and good supporting dancers.

i also went to the 'rock the bells' concert a few weeks ago as well....

by the way, u send me swingin' >>>>>> any other mint single

and yeah stoke is mad talented. he did a lot of drums on the mint albums as well as for other people (like usher, jill scott, tevin campbell, alicia keys, johnny gill etc.) and not only that he can play other instruments as well....he is like a one man band surrounded by another band. lol.

I bought Joe, Ginuwine (I'm warming up to him), and Maxwell's new albums. I also bought Tank's Sex Love & Pain.

Stokely is indeed a musical BEAST.

lol yea, in their show, the group really gave Stokely praise like crazy. It sounded more like it was Stokely with a backup band than a full group. Though Ricky did do a few songs here and there.

I saw them at BB Kings in NYC june, they're doing a tour now for E-Life (kinda late isn't it?). You can see more dates on myspace.com/mintconditionmusic

And dang Johnny, you have bought a lot of albums recently. Gotta respect that.

June, how'd you see Beyonce for free?

^^lol. i know already. but to clarify they BEEN touring since last spring so its not really "late" per say its just an extended tour that they have been doing for about a year now. they did some shows recently in new orleans (mcdonalds mccafe 2009 essence festival headliner), new york at bb kings, detroit (with kem) japan recently as well...etc. thats why i asked which show you went to. and to be clear they wre at bb kings last year in may, so this is i think their 3rd or so time that theyve been there in the last year or so....

if you would like to see more detailed up to date info on them go to mintconditioncommunity.blogspot.com/

rick always doing his crazy spins, and killing the guitar, and odell would have his guitar solos as well all on the floor and sh1t.....

was chris daddy dave there this time? and are they still doing the same uptempo drum pattern 'pretty brown eyes' routine they did from last year?

Hrm, who's Chris Daddy Dave?

They did have six members perform... Ricky on bass guitar, Jeff on keyboard/sax, Stokely on vocals, Homer O'Dell on lead guitar, "The Chef" on the other keyboard/piano and then I don't know who the drummer was.

Not sure on Pretty Brown Eyes. They did it during the Encore but I dont really know their music well enough to know if it was done differently.

Did they do an extended drum solo thing when you saw them with Stokley? That was probably the only part I didn't really like as it just went on for a while without any real explanation what it was supposed to be.
