So, you can pick any singer from the 90s and put them into what you think would be the most ideal R&B group. You can pick a maximum of 5 singers but they have to be from the 90s. This can be any singer as long as their from the 90s solo or in a group and why.

My Group.

Kenny Terry (Az Yet). An incredible range from Bass-Tenor and a very competent lead/background singer.

Wanya Morris (Boyz II Men) - This guy can SANG and would compliment any group nicely.

K-Ci Hailey (Jodeci) - Annoying sometimes, but he has a powerful voice. Him and Wanya would be tearing it up!

Gary Jenkins (Silk) - Another sick vocalist who can definitely work in a group. His voice would compliment K-Ci and Wanya nicely.

Brian McKnight - He has worked Wanya already and I think it would be cool to see how Brian would do in a group setting.

Kenny - Bass
Brian - Tenor
Wanya - Tenor
Gary - Tenor/Baritone
K-Ci - Baritone

I think it that sense the harmonies would sound pretty good. Anyways, what do you guys think?

Man this is a cool idea that I'm going to hae to think on. First, even though Nathan of BIIM seems like he can be a jerk (he always seems mad in their videos on YouTube), he's got such diversity and is great filling any role. Check out their new stuff and you'll be like "Damn, when did Michael come back?" but nope, that's Nathan working the bass

Lol the boyz mentioned in interviews Nate was a bit of a jerk in high school. I think Marc and Nate were popular, Shawn/Mike were nerds and Wanya was a troubled teen.

I always liked the idea of having every member capable of taking lead. I'm curious what the others will think because I left out some great singers ex. Johnny Gill, Donell Jones, Maxwell (wonder how he'd do in a group) Jon Jon, Jojo Hailey, Kenny Greene, Gerald LeVert, Dino Connor.

Yea, it's a tough decision. Most groups really have one outspoken lead vocalist so it's hard to imagine if a group filled with solid vocalists would be good, or would have too much discord.

Well I am only going to have a four man group. I don't want to have two guys from the same group, so I can't have both Morrises.

Gary Jenkins of Silk- The lead of my fave group, just has to be in there.

Nathan Morris- His voice may not be better than Wanya's, but he is more diverse and can bring more to the table.

Johnny Gill- His voice is perfect, end of story.

Gerald Levert- His voice is so smoothe and powerful that he is the perfect capper to any line-up.

I think this would be a group that had a fairly spread out amount of leads in songs. You would hear all of them on the album that is for sure.

Oh what a dream it would be.

Hrmm, I'm going to steal Gerald LeVert from Johnny's group. He's one of the few guys that I think can do ad libs right and I would love to have him shaking out at the climax of songs.

That puts me at two now with Ne-Yo and Gerald LeVert. Hrmm time to keep digging for my other men.

Great topic. Do it have to be male groups onlY?

Male groups:

1. Shawn Stockman- I always like his voice and I think he had more solo stuff then the other members in BIIM.

2. Jazz or Sisqo of Dru Hill- Out of Dru Hill my favorites are Jazz and Sisqo and I think both of these guys have great voices.

3. Mike of 112- His voice is so deep and it reminds me of Mike McCary from BIIM. I think Mike is a great strong tenor.

4. Stokey of Mint Condition- Love his voice, it's so soothing to me.

5. Rapheal Saadiq of Tony Toni Tone- Reminds me of Stokey a little bit but he is a great singer as well.
