Now that Michael is gone, how many more great R&B artists do we have left?

Think about it so far we've lost:

Issac Hayes
Ray Charles
Rick James
Luther Vandross
Barry White
now Michael Jackson the King of Pop.

I guess we still have Janet, Mariah, R. Kelly, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, etc.

I forgot about those individuals. I know about a few of those people from listening to my dad play them.

For real, I swear, you gotta make sure to see these guys live when you can because they're gone so fast. It's scary.

I NEED to get to a Brian McKnight and a Tony Rich concert haha. I've seen all my other favorites now, but these types of things just show you the imminence of it all.

I forgot about Gerald Levert he is another great that we lost in the industry.

I know you right@ R&B Guru I know I have quite a few celebs I still want to see in concert. Michael Jackson was at the top of my list. I would love to see Brian McKnight to in concert, Janet Jackson, Boyz II Men, Stevie Wonder, and etc.

Def see Boyz II Men when you get the chance. I've seen them and Babyface in concert and Boyz II Men are just phenomenal. Voices are perfect

I'm making special trips to the States to see these guys. B McKnight, Babyface and Jagged Edge. I already missed 112 (all 4) in October.

I miss at least 2 chances of meeting Boyz II men, as of now I'm going to see what town are they coming to so I won't miss them. I live 3 hours or so from Atlanta I know I can catch some good concerts.

@Moofu I defintely want to see 112 and Jagged Edge and Dru Hill to if they can get together.

Interesting you mention Brian in this thread, Guru....because the first time I heard Brian after learning of Michael's death, I was instantly brought back to a night circa 1993, at the Strand Theater in Redondo Beach, CA, watching Brian McKnight and his backing band slide into a bit of 'Another Part Of Me'.

Oh and...Boyz II Men DO sound good nowadays, but if you saw them back in the early '90s with all the choreography goin' on, they were NOT all they were cracked up to be vocally...

Really@ Fullasoul......I would assume Boyz II Men would do a great job no matter what. I feel like Boyz II Men would put on a great show.

Has anyone seen Janet in concert? I wouldn't mind seeing her in concert I liked her "concert in Hawaii" DVD.

Man really Fulla? It's hard to imagine an artist getting BETTER with age. Still, I would love to see them with all their choreography haha. Synced dance moves are awesome.

I've seen some on youtube. I have to say in the early days Nate and Shawn seemed to sound a lot better. Well, more Shawn comparing his voice from "Evolution" to "Christmas Interpretations" it sounded much stronger.
