Buddha 2009-06-17 12:55:19 Total Posts: 517 | I'm listening to it now. "Touch Me" reminds me of a Blackstreet song.
Buddha 2009-06-17 13:13:05 Total Posts: 517 | Intro - The intro is actually hot. If I had bought the CD, I would probably be excited as hell. Show Off - It sounded like it would be a classic song at the start but the beat switched which kinda disappointed me. The beat is hot though. Trouble - Bun B did his thing on the track. I wish he had a few more bars but I can't complain. This isn't one of my favs but a lot of people will probably like it. Last Chance - Well, everybody knows this song already I'm sure lol Interlude - Same with the intro, these are actually cool. I love the Jodeci sample at the end One Time For Love - You can't go wrong with B-Cox and Johnta Austin. I played the shit out of Johnta's demo version when it first came out but this kills the demo Open Door - This reminds me of a Prince type song. They kind of changed the beat from the leaked version so I have to get used to all the additional stuff they added. All I know is the change completely messed up the bridge. Get Involved - Some will hate it, some will love it. I would have preferred a different Timbaland produced track if I knew this would be the only one. Orchestra - Typical babymaking music but the lyrics are nice Touch Me - It reminds me of a Blackstreet song. It's alright. I do like the addition of the Devante Swing sample in the beginning! Lying To Each other - This reminds me of an R Kelly song for some reason. The beat is hot but the message of the song is dumb Even When I'm Mad - Typical Underdogs/Tank stuff but I'm a sucker for these type of tracks. The lyrics are real and it's easy listening to. Bridge To Love - I love this song too. Brandy and G both sound great on it. Used To Be The One - A lot of people will probably skip this song but it's actually pretty good. It's a slow grower, that's for sure Show Me The Way - Filler material...Ginuwine said he would close out the album by making a tribute to Static and Aaliyah but I guess he scrapped that idea. IMO, this is Ginuwine's 3rd best album. It's an album that you'll actually have to LISTEN to. Skimming through it will do nothing. 100% > The Bachelor > A Man's Thoughts > The Life > Back 2 Da Basics >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Senior

d0rk 2009-06-18 01:04:11 Total Posts: 359 | Im actually liking this album, I gave it many listens today. I guess certain songs I need to actually take time to listen, Orchestra is now starting to grow on me. Im just a little disappointed that the song "Please You" didn't make it on the album, that's a song I've been listening to on repeat as well. Oh, i found this short interview just browsing around: http://www.essence.com/news_entertainment/entertainment/articles/ginuwine_i_didnt_want_to_live_anymore/
Buddha 2009-06-18 01:11:30 Total Posts: 517 | "Please You" is alright but I wanted "Good For Nothing". I love that track.
d0rk 2009-06-18 03:35:17 Total Posts: 359 | You mean that song from 08 or something like that? I thought that song as released somewhere on some soundtrack or bonus. Damn, I honestly forgot about that song, lol.. imma throw that song on right now.
Buddha 2009-06-20 14:41:02 Total Posts: 517 | Yeah. "Please You" and "Good For Nothing" were the first songs he did for the album, and neither of them made the album lol. They were both produced by The Underdogs. I've been trying to get in contact with Ginuwine and his people about these 2 tracks because I need them in CD quality. The only ones that exist on the internet are myspace rips. Anyways, has anyone given the album a listen yet?
junebug18 2009-06-21 18:06:17 Total Posts: 540 | just listened to it and its "meh"...the best song is "one time for love" followed by "even when i'm mad", and the worst is easily the techno trash he made with timbaland (cant remember the name) what bothers me about this album is some of the beats. too much like those dream (wack) type of beats overloaded with too many synths and other bells and whistles, i.e. a-la-justin temberfake. and also some of the background vocals on certain songs dont even sound like a ginuwine song. (like listen to chorus on "orchestra" or "touch me" SMH....sounds like one of them new 2009 R&B artists...) he should of made b. cox executive produce this one.....a producer you can never go wrong with. overall though...."ehh"..it's kinda decent i guess.
Buddha 2009-06-21 18:39:36 Total Posts: 517 | The guy who did the background vocals for "Ochestra" and "Touch Me" was RL from Next. He penned both of the tracks you mentioned along with a few others. He certainly isn't a 2009 R&B artist LOL.
junebug18 2009-06-22 17:39:15 Total Posts: 540 | Really? Thats R.L.? Dude's voice got higher....Im not feeling it like from the "I Still Love You", "Butta Love" Days....Its pretty obvious he also did some studio enhancements to give it that "current" R&B futuristic vocal sound (thats what i meant by these "new R&B guys"....how all their voices sound the same...RL is going for that new sound) A dude like me that listens and knows R&B voices like the back of my hand, couldn't even recognize it....SMH....RL needs to step that sh1t down....
