Hey guys,
I recently talked with Joe Little of The Rude Boys about doing an interview for the site. To give you some background, he was the lead singer of the Rude Boys.

As a recap on who the Rude Boys were... they worked closely with Gerald LeVert and had this #1 R&B song (which Joe has writing/production creds on): Written All Over Your Face :

Joe also wrote the group's second #1 R&B Hit - Are You Lonely For Me

He had a solo album out in 1994 titled Puttin It Down, and today works as a consultant in A&R for Capital Records Urban department.

He's done a lot of writing/production work including
The Temptations - "Proven and True"/"Selfish Reasons" which won a grammy,
Ginuwine's "Love You More,"
Keith Sweat's "I'm Not Ready"/"Just Another Day",
Gerald LeVert's "No Man's Land," "She Done Been," and "Mr Too Damn Good."

And a crap ton more.

He recently put out a new song himself titled "My People."

He's done a lot of stuff and has a lot of experience in groups, working with Gerald LeVert, writing, producing and now as an A&R rep.

I love "Written All Over Your Face" and "Are You Lonely For Me". I am partial towards this group and LeVert as they are Clevelanders.

I am not familiar with his solo stuff though.

Hah, well let me know if you have any questions for him... they can be about The Rude Boys (who may be working on a new album), or about his solo stuff.

Seeing as you're our Ohio rep, I expect you to back me up here with questions haha.

How'd the group form?

How did the group meet Gerald LeVert?

You seem to have had an extended relationship with Gerald, writing and producing a number of songs on all of his albums. Can you tell us a little about your relations with Gerald? How did you establish this close writing/producing bond?

You scored a lot of success in The Rude Boys, penning two #1 R&B hits. How did you learn how to write/produce?

After the group's second album, you left The Rude Boys to pursue a solo career. Was anything else involved in your decision or was it purely an interest in going solo?

What brought about the idea of going solo?

Wikipedia talks about a possible resurfacing of The Rude Boys with you in the group again. Is this still part of the plan?

How did this come about?

I saw your new song "My People" on YouTube, can you talk about the motivation behind this song?

Is this part of a move to make a new solo album?

I understand you're now doing some work in A&R for Capital Records. How do you feel A&R has changed since you first entered the industry nearly 20 years ago?

How do you think the industry has changed as a whole since The Rude Boys first started?

What are your favorite 90s R&B songs?

Let me know if you want to see any more!
