:), I don't buy albums often, but I go in waves and buy about 5-10 cds when I do.

As you can see from my purchases, it's rarely something new.

But I highly recommend it :). It helps you find new songs.

Thanks for the comments lpc, I'm going to definitely pick up those albums once I get a permanent shipping address in a month.

hah that don't make a difference! So am I!

I honestly buy most of my albums used on amazon for 3-4 dollars after shipping.

The way I see it, no point buying them new since most of the artists aren't even around to get a cut anymore.

You can usually get a good 3-4 albums for 15-20 dollars as long as you've got a wide variety you are interested in.

I guess we all can be frugal and download from lime wire and then the artist won't make money then they can go back to being drug dealers, flip hamburgers and work at strip clubs, mean while back at the ranch the music biz disappears and we can use this web site to vent about our jobs that suck. LOL

haha@ I Like It. I found myself lately getting addicted to LimeWire. I got to get back into purchasing albums.

@R&B Guru I thought the artists get a cut of their album purchased reguardless. So if you was to purchase Soul For Real album they wouldn't get any money? Or what about if you purchased like Brownstone very first one they won't get anything either? If so that sucks.

Don't take that as truth! I honestly have no idea. I just suspected that after so many years, they wouldn't really see a cut anymore. I don't know if the labels have a clause so that the artist stops receiving money after X years of sales, or if the artists just don't get checks unless they're of some decent size (which you wouldn't get from the small amount of album sales on those older works).

They could though, I just always figured they didn't.

Well it still sucks if it is true.

I went CD hunting for some old CDs on Friday and our music store (F.Y.E music) doesn't have any good old CDs. I only brought 2 and that was Craig David latest and Brutha. I started to get Tamia 1st album, but put it back.

And listened to Music Box for the first time today... what a cd!

Lol I like how fine is in caps. Being hot is obviously the most important thing to be for a female singer. Look at Jill Scott, can she sing? Yes, but is she ugly? Yes.

Bottom line is, if you aren't hot, stay out of my life.

You will miss out on a lot of good music if you think like that. I personally don't care what you look like as long as you can sing that's what they are getting paid for. If they want to get paid for good looks they can go into modeling. And Jill Scott is not ugly she just big bone. LOL

@R&B Guru I hate FYE to. That is all the music store we have down here, we had Circuit City but they went out of business. We do have Wal-Mart, Wal-Mart very rarely have any old CDs to purchase. FYE isn't to high, you can find some stuff on sale or used CDs. The new stuff is 19 dollars and some change.

I'm a female so I can't say a girl is FINE, but I can say they are pretty and Jill Scott and Tamia are very pretty. I'm like "I Like It" it doesn't matter if the guy or girl is ugly as long as they are making great music.
