Jermaine88 2009-03-29 17:58:35 Total Posts: 301 | Wow Ladies Edition was a great album I mean what could they do the ladies stopped liking them for their sexual songs on the first two album so they switched it and at a time when domestic abuse was happening I think it was a great album from Dino, Shazam, and G.I. Their latest one Imitations Of Life is great also. and to niktime Intro has a new song and they are back just because Kenny Greene passed doesn't mean the group can't live on. Kenny said in a interview he hoped that his death wouldn't be the end of Intro because he wanted to be in heaven smiling down on Jeff, Buddy and however could replace him. H e said he knew the risks he was taking and forcing the group into obscurity when he decided to be secreative and hide his feelings for other men from everybody and also sleeping with a hiv positive man and he knew and didn't care. He only talked about it with Jeff and Buddy one time about his sexuality and that's when he started getting sick and it was some tension and Kenny sinced it and wanted to leave the group because he felt Jeff and Buddy didn't support his decision to sleep with men so that's another reason why their third album which was supposed to come out in 1998 wasn't released because Jeff and Buddy found out about his perference but then they told him that whatever he does is his business and just wanted to keep the group intact and they told him to use protection but he said that he wouldn't do it cause he loved the guy and he also dated women so he could have exposed them. He didn't know it was so serious until he was put in the hospital and bedwridden since the summer of 2001. He could walk really good when he first got it but it got worse and worse and knew he was gonna die and he was bedwridden in July 2001 because he said it in Sister 2 Sister magazine that month for his hospital bed. He said he went to the military at age 18 and he started singing and playing the piano and military talent shows. Buddy was also in the service and their original member named Nelson and during they all wanted to sing so they met a a club where they were stationed in South Carolina and decided to start a group when they were around 20-21. Kenny also said he met undercover gay guys their meaning they were on the downlow and was turned out but Buddy and Nelson didn't know. They formed Intro and DJ Eddie F of Heavy D & The Boyz ard them sing during a Heavy D and The Boys show around 1990 and Heavy D and Eddie F took the group under their wing. They really wanted to sing so in order to do so they had to find a way to leave the service and so Kenny and Buddy asked to be discharged after recording some early stuff Nelson decided to stay in the military and Buddy brought in his childhood friend Jeff. Buddy and Jeff grew up in Queens together while Kenny was born and raised in Detroit. As Kenny's attraction to both female and males grew it started to show. Because of his weight lost caused his family and group members and people at their label and stuff ask why he was losing a lot of weight and he would protect himself and the HIV was in his system not long after Intro first came out because he was kinda hefty in their early videos then he lost weight by the time they collaborated with other black male artists on the song U Will Know and he also were his hair blonde in the video for it and wanted his hair style to stay like that but some rumors arose and the label made him change it back to black and he got skinner and skinner and by 2001 he was on death watch and passed away on October 1, 2001 from complications due to AIDS which is sad. | |||
