Jermaine88 2009-03-26 09:01:52 Total Posts: 298 | I mentioned that the remaining members of R&B trio are coming back eight years after the death of lead singer Kenny Greene due to aids well they have a new song on their myspace with their new lead singer Kermit Quinn singing lead Kermit was briefly a replacement for Chauncey Black in Blackstreet and was on tour with the group around 2004-2005. He left the group not long after doing some touring with them and now is the replacement for Kenny Greene RIP. The group said their sound is classic Intro and are working with the same producers who worked on their first two albums like Eddie F, Rodney Jerkins, Dave "Jam" Hall, and the guy who produced Come Inside. Bryan Michael Cox is also working with the group. Jeff, Buddy, and K. Quinn all live in Atlanta now. They also said Kenny's vocals will still be heard on some of the songs because they were recording their third album before Kenny passed but had to stop when he was bedwritten and put on death watch. The kept those recordings from 1998-2001 and put some on the album to keep his memory but not a lot because it's 2009 now and they wanted to record more fresher material also and started recording the tracks with new member Kermit Quinn last year so look out for the new Intro album.

Jermaine88 2009-03-26 14:01:01 Total Posts: 298 | Their myspace is myspace.com/theofficialintro and yeah his name is Kermit Quinn or sometimes he goes by K. Quinn. Yeah they were originally gonna add Horace Brown because he's a part of the same crew them Jodeci, Mary J. Blige, Heavy D, Eddie F and the Untochables, Donell Jones, Puffy, and all them were tight back in the 90s in the Uptown days ya know s well as Soul For Real, Monifah and others. But they got K. Quinn instead an he's a good singer even though no one can replace Kenny they have to move on and K. Quinn is a more than capable replacement.

Jermaine88 2009-03-26 21:46:00 Total Posts: 298 | Yeah I knew it was something like that but Intro is a 90's R&B on the comeback like so many other groups. Even groups who had members pass away are coming back like H-Town who lost Dino but Shazam and GI both sang leads also people think Dino did all the leads but Shazam and GI did too but Dino will be missed RIP, Hi-Five was talking about coming back with the original members before Tony Thompson passed and so they were working on a Hi-Five album before his death and I think they are still gonna try to release it. It will still have Tony on lead vocals but he won't be around to promote it kind of like H-Town's last album Imitations Of Life in which was recorded mostly before Dino died in 2003 but was released in 2004 and the othr two promoted the album without him. Levert reunited in 2005 before Gerald died in 2006 and both Marc and Sean sang at his funeral along with Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill, Bobby Brown, Rude Boys, Christopher Williams, and Troop. They recorded a track in 2005 called I Like It and it was released on Gerald Levert's Voices album and they started working on a comeback album and at the same time Gerald was working on his solo album and a album with his dad Eddie Levert, Sr. In 2006 after he died Marc and Sean decided to continue and brought in Dwight Thompson orignally who briefly filled in for Joe Little III in the Rude Boys who Levert discovered but Rude Boys wanted to come back and Levert decided to put the reunion on hold. Larry Marcus of the Rude Boys was doing gospel and didn't rejoin the group for the reunion so Joe, Buddy, and Melvin was going on as a trio but since Levert decided to take a break from the recording Dwight Thompson rejoined Rude Boys this time as the replacement for Larry Marcus so now Rude Boys is back to a quartet with Joe Little III, his brother Buddy Banks, Melvin Serphus, and Dwight Thompson. Levert decided to record newer tracks around 2008 and brought in a singer named Blaq Rose who is from Cleveland also and also wrote on K-Ci & JoJo's Emotional album in 2002. So Sean Levert, Marc Gordon, and Blaq Rose went in the studio to record a new Levert album called Levert Dedication in memory of Gerald Levert but recording was halted again when Sean was arrested for failure to pay child support and was jailed and that's when tragedy struck again as officers strapped Sean to a straight jacket and didn't give him his medicine and put him in a holding cell and he passed out and never regained consiuoness and died in prison. It came out that Sean said when the touring money from Levert's Reunion Tour and hopefully their comeback album was successful so he could afford to pay the mother of some of his kids but she didn't want to wait and called the police on him and said he was way behind in child support and couldn't wait until money came from touring. If only she waited for the money to come Sean would probably still be alive. He was also married to someone else who he had a child with so his first babymomma was jealous of their relationship. His babymomma didn't even show up to his funeral and instead sent their kids and they said he was a great dad not a deadbeat their mother made him out to be. I feel she was jealous of his wife and because of her jealousy he's dead and she couldn't even go to his funeral I don't maybe she felt grief for sending him to jail or what. His father said after Sean and his ex broke up they barely got along same thing happened with Gerald and his ex who was on Sweet Sixteen and they just started getting along before his death. Marc and Blaq Rose changed the album title to Levert Dedication II as a dedication to both Gerald and Sean now. Both Gerald and Sean's vocals will be on their because they started recording in 2005 but when Dwight joined they didn't record but they resumed once they got Blaq Rose. Blaq Rose sounds kind of like K-Ci a little bit.

R&B Guru 2009-03-27 09:00:11 Total Posts: 2527 | Yea, LeVert should be done. When so much of your group is gone, in fact, EVERYONE in the group who's name was the name of the group is gone... it's time to let it go.
JohnnyAwesome24 2009-03-27 09:03:51 Total Posts: 1928 | Yeah agreed. Let us just remember the great songs they made. No need to tarnish the legacy by making new music with no Leverts.
Jermaine88 2009-03-27 12:00:01 Total Posts: 298 | Well both of their vocals are gonna be on the album it's just that they are not physically around to promote it. It might be the last they were coming back I know you really don't wanna see their 1997 album The Whole Scenario as their last. I'm looking foward to Levert Dedication II that's what it's a dedication to the Levert brothers Marc is a founding member so give him credit and basically hang around the Levert family like Gerald, Sean, Eddie, Jr., and Eddie Sr and the whole family as well as The O'Jays so give him credit I know it was hard for him and Blaq Rose to move on with the project but they are keeping Gerald and Sean's vocals from when they were recording from 2005-2006 when Gerald was alive and until 2008 when Sean passed. They are just promoting it without them but you will hear both of their voices and you will know it's still Levert.

R&B Guru 2009-03-28 10:30:37 Total Posts: 2527 | Yea? I really like Day I Die and Thin Line Between Love And Hate. Otherwise, I can see some of their vocals being pretty boring
