R&B Guru 2009-03-23 22:43:56 Total Posts: 2527 | I think this is a legitimate idea but I'm trying to figure out the feasibility/proper pricing. The problem is, if it's the price of a cd, I think they should just release a live dvd video. There's definitely some potential market there though

R&B Guru 2009-03-25 08:17:16 Total Posts: 2527 | I just think the Labels haven't fully figured out how to use the internet yet. You're starting to see them migrate towards it with stuff on YouTube, iTunes, MySpace and Twitter but none of it is done to it's fullest and seems to be more of a concession to the inevitable, rather than a full-fledged attempt at taking advantage of new technologies. I think they SHOULD become familiar with the internet, but going to the extent of streaming a concert is a big step that I don't know if many of them would commit to.

With the numbers of computers in households know it only makes sense to provide concerts in this manner. Their just to dumb to figure it out.
Charmz 2009-03-27 17:32:15 Total Posts: 3 | I think the problem would come with the fact that they do not know how to market it properly and the cost and equipment it would take to stream it to everyones liking. The servers arent cheap for streaming and the fact not everyone has dsl or cable still would make it harder to stream so everyone could watch it clearly. I had this issue in my chatroom I own with just a basic music stream let alone one with visual as well. The people I was getting the stream from had a hard time accomidating everyones pc preferences and it took some time to work out the bugs. Granted they would get the money back in sales but they would also run into any delema if the stream would go down in mid concert and so on. So basically it boils down to they dont want to put the time into perfecting it! lol
