Also, what's your favorite one? I gotta go with my boy Sir B Knight and "When Will I See You Again" feat. Fred Hammond (my other boy from the Gospel side) and "For You" both from Superhero...I think they're really one song on two tracks...good stuff What do you guys (and gals) think?

R&B Guru 2009-03-14 06:46:22 Total Posts: 2527 | I'm gonna have to go against you here Johnny, I love the gospel track. While they're rarely my favorite tracks by the artist, they usually feature great vocals and solid lyrics. I think the gospel tracks are better than the uptempo tracks on most albums. My favorites... Boyz II Men's Dear God Brian McKnight's When The Chariots Come

soulful_sweetie 2009-03-14 12:33:00 Total Posts: 93 | I think it's really great how some secular artists are so strong in their faith that they'd put a gospel track on their album to let the world know. like I said before, as long as they're sincere, I'm cool with these gospel tracks. I don't think they should be the last song on the albums, though! I think an artist should be really bold and put one first.
R&B Guru 2009-03-14 12:38:06 Total Posts: 2527 | Bah Johnny... would you really want Brian McKnight to take time away from making an R&B album to do a full gospel album? I'd rather more music! And Moofu, props for coming up with the most obscure list possible lol. Though I was considering using 7 Mile's Without You to pick a lesser known one myself :). To Soulful_sweetie, 7 Mile did make it their first track. If you look at their album, the track Without You opens the album and is a dedication to God.
soulful_sweetie 2009-03-14 12:47:36 Total Posts: 93 | awesome!!! I feel like a bad R&B fan, I don't know 7 Mile lol!! I'll go check out "without you" on itunes right now!!! here's hoping it's there!!!
R&B Guru 2009-03-14 13:22:13 Total Posts: 2527 | haha believe me, you're probably not the only one who didn't know them :). They were pretty low key, albeit the first group signed to Mariah Carey's label. The track is an intro so it's not TOO long, so probably not worth hunting down on itunes, but I'll try and get it on here later this week

My favorites from their album are "After", "I'll Make it Right" and "Do YOur Thing". On Topic: Out of all of Brian McKnight's non-secular tracks, I would say "Home" and "When Will I See YOu Again" are his best.
