R&B Guru 2009-03-17 17:49:41 Total Posts: 2528 | I don't know Johnny, I just feel like two albums a year is going to burn out the artist and doesn't allow them the full focus on an album. You end up getting a lot of mediocre tracks put on the album to finish filling it up

junebug18 2009-03-21 19:35:27 Total Posts: 540 | Yeah, Id rather an artists drop an album every 2-3 years, and to oversaturate themselves. Put an album out, let the singles marinate for that year and a bit of the next year. Take time off to enjoy life, chill with family/friends, tour, do what you got to do etc., then get back in the studio for the next release which should be done for that year or the next year after that. IE. -Boyz II Men dropped albums in 91, 94, 97, '00 etc. -Jodeci did in '91, '93, '95, -Maxwell dd in 96, 98, '01. etc.

You change over the course of a year and so, it's worth taking time after you put out the album to evaluate how your music has changed and your own view of it.
