Are Dwele and Raheem Devaughn the best to debut this decade?

So I been thinking about this decade of music which has only 8 and 1/2 months till it comes to a close. Some of the worst music I've ever heard in my life came right out of this decade(especially the last 4 years) but there have been some good too. As I think about all the artist that have debuted, there are none that I like better than Dwele (who's first 2 albums are damn near modern classics IMO) and Raheem Devaughn. So who do you guys think are the best out of this era?

Dwele would definitely be one of the few good artists to debut out of this decade.
of course I'd probably say India.Arie is my favourite artist of the decade, but we all know how much I think she's awesome so moving on lol.
I'm not sure, but I think Musiq might've debuted this decade? if so then I'd definitely say him.
and Lyfe Jennings.

I havent heard much of Inda Arie outside of some of her singles so I cant speak on her. I do however like her song "Ready for Love".

Musiq is ok. He kinda went kinda sour after his first album if you know what I mean. His singles were good but his albums didnt really match up to them.

I cant stand Lyfe Jennings.

Wayne Brady's saved the latter half of the 2000s for me.

And of course, I'm going to still put in for Ne-Yo even if you guys disagree. I think his work shows what CAN be done with modern R&B if people do it right.

And I go back and forth on Lyfe. I like a few of his songs but overall, he's too rough.

Dwele and Raheem are pretty good artists to me from this decade. It's a shame they are so underrated. I have to agree that India Arie is good and possibly Jill Scott. I have to say his name......NE-YO he is another good artist from this decade and John Legend.

Its not that I dislike Ne-Yo guru. I just think he's overrated. He's deffinetly one of the better artists of the last few years.

oh man yes. ready for love is my absolute favourite song ever.
Jill scott too, and Ledisi and John Legend. I'm not sure I'd say Ne-Yo is one of the best, but he's definitely decent.
some of Lyfe's stuff is a bit too rough for me too, but I like some of it too. "must be nice" is amazing.

sorry guys, but if u wanna talk quality music in the 2000's, the trophy has to go to craig david. He's put out too many good albums and singles to not get this. not only that, but he brought something new to the table with his 2step/garage sound the swept the UK(and the US for a little bit hehe). His voice is superior to any of the previously mentioned artists. he writes 99% of his music... although neyo is a close second, if he can come out with one or two more quality albums, i might put him first.

What about Alicia Keys? She has proved to be a wonderful artist of the 2000 era.

Craig David is the man!! I forgot about him he is so underrated. His music is unique and have that 90's vibe to it.

Alicia Keys is pretty great, really great lyrics and she can play the heck outa the piano and songs like "if I ain't got you" and "you don't know my name" have that oldschool vibe to them, but I don't think she's the best singer. Although, her mtv unplugged album was her best album in my opinion and it's sooo underratd!!!
Craig David is definitely the man!! unfortunately I haven't really kept up with him, I don't own any of his albums and I only have a few songs downloaded but I think that's gotta change!! I wasn't so down with "what's your flavour." but I loved what I heard off his first album.

I got to go with Guru because Ne-Yo's "Year of the Gentleman" never left the CD player once I popped it in. Thats how great it is. And believe me Usher aint done yet. "Confessions" is a classic.

ilikeit, thanks for agreeing with me on that album. So many people hate on it but it's fire from beginning to end.
