Is diss music good 4 R&B music?

The question is this type of thing has been going on for quite sometime in the hiphop music and it causes hype for the artist album sales. Honestly, it depends on what you consider R&B dis tracks. If it has to be targeted at a specific person, I think it can work, though I've never seen a valid attempt at it. You can see it's potential when you look at R&B tracks that are just packed with heat. Brian McKnight's Used To Be My Girl (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OA6O_HdPqc) could be a solid dis track if it was targeted at a particular person. And you know, if a song has 1 or 2 or all 4 biggest auto tune users (other two; kanye & the dream) it'll be an instant hit with the kiddies/tweens/teens. Sisqo didn't diss nobody but both R. Kelly and Usher came out swinging saying how can a little dude with blond hair be one of the greats and R. Kelly said in a diss track he wasn't on his level.
