Hrm.. I used to be all for Jagged Edge on this one, but then I saw them in a concert that was such a rip off. They did about 30 minutes of a show, and it started about 3 hours late after 4 or 5 real lame opening acts. After that, I've had a real negative taste in my mouth :(.

Plus, 112 wrote one of my favorite songs of all time, "Your Letter." So for me, it's now 112!

All 4 One's
"I Swear"
vs
"I Can Love You Like That"

Donnell Jones

Where I Wanna Be beats everything Musiq has done in his career. Not to mention Journey of a Gemini is one of the best albums of the past couple of years.

Sidenote: Musiq has a new song out called "Radio". It sucks, just so you know :)

Joe Thomas vs. Donnell jones
(for more underrated artist)

I have to go with Donnell Jones. He does not get the credit he deserves. "Life Goes On" is my favorite album of his, I remember its release well because it came out the week I met my wife and I played it constantly.

Tyrese
vs.
Jaheim

While I really like Karyn's delivery in Love Saw It, I like Babyface better in Love Makes Things Happen. I just think his words blur too much in Love Saw It. So I'm gonna go with him and Pebbles, even though I've got some negative feelings about Pebbles after the way she cheated TLC.

Time to pit the lovers

Kenny Lattimore...why? Because I want to ask the next question haha (and I've heard some of his stuff and it's not bad)

So now:
Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby"
vs.
Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You"

Mary's "Be Without You" easy... I don't know if there's any of us who don't feel her pain when she sings.

Luther Vandross or Lionel Richie?

Luther for life man. Nobody can cross eras of R&B as well as Luther can. He's been relevant since his appearance in the industry until the day he laid down to rest. Even in the 2000s, I still respect all his music, with "I'd Rather," "Can Heaven Wait," "Buy Me A Rose," and "Dance With My Father" all being GREAT tracks. Looking back "Here And Now," "Never Too Much," "House is not A home." Nobody represents the genre better.

(also, I know it's annoying to go through all the pages to get the next question, I'm gonna fix it tonight so it jumps to the most recent page)

I'll give a nice broad question next.
This goes for groups, singers, EVERYTHING. Battle of the sexes right here... which do you prefer?
Male R&B

Female R&B

I'm going to say Male but hear me out... I say that for one reason... Groups. Male groups DOMINATE girl groups in my opinion. I mean I love Aaliyah, Mariah, Lauryn, Janet, Whitney, & Monica, but I'm not a fan of TLC, Destiny's Child, En Vogue, or any of those girl groups cuz they're kinda repetetive.

Next:

12 Play or R.?(Hell I'll even include R. Kelly and TP2.com)

I think the Male R&B v. Female R&B needs to be a post on its on.

12 Play - it propelled R's career.
