(after 7, boyz ii men, toni braxton, whitney, mj, bobby brown, mary j, en vouge, mariah, janet etc.). His singing was good, but his songwriting has left a big.... excuse me.... a HUGE mark on the R&B industry and history. Let's not forget about 'end of the road' which he wrote/produced being #1 on billboard for 12 weeks and 'i'll make love to you' doing 15 weeks. As for Johnny Gill vs. Bobby Brown, Bobby had the better career but I like Johnny Gill as an artist more than Bobby. That 1990 self titled solo album gets play from me almost everyday. It's harder to relate Luther's song to the relationship between me and my father but it's still heart-warming. When I saw you pick song for mama over the incredibly beautiful/touching Dance With My Father, I was almost ready to go up in arms. But your reasons justify it and are something I've thought of myself. While Dance With My Father is wonderful, I can't really relate to it on many levels. So good choice, but even greater question junebug! Now time for me to look up koffee :). Hrm, I've never heard Koffee Brown so I'd feel guilty to answer that question just yet (but I will!).
