I've also heard that Marvin's Dad would mention to his children that he brought them into this world and could take them out, which in this case he did. The fact that they had so many line up changes actually worked for them I think. For example, a lot of their best stuff came when Dennis Edwards replaced Ruffin. Granted nothing can compare to the main core of David, Eddie, Paul, Melvin, and Otis. Agreed Niktime, these guys set the bar as far as groups are concerned. I agree about deaths of geniuses, I was gonna say Otis Redding but somene beat me to it.
