Ah man! I never knew Maxwell's This Woman's Work was a remake! Who did the original?

Also, good look on Intro's Ribbon in the Sky. I'll add Profyle's Overjoyed to that list as well.

What album did Monica cover Richard Marx on?

Mine are:

Az Yet - Hard for me to say I'm sorry
Mariah Carey - Without You
Beyonce - Wishing on a star
Rihanna - Umbrella
Whitney Houston - I'm every woman & I will always love you
Aretha Franklin - Respect
Lauryn Hill - No woman no cry
And definitely agree on the Boyz II Men's Yesterday remake.

But we should also object on the covers mutulating our beloved songs such as Britney's Prerogative(aaaaaaaaaaahhhh!)

R&B Guru...Monica covered Richard Marx song on her 2nd album "The boy Is Mine". That was a beautiful song.

@Gloomypoet I don't think Aretha Franklin "Respect" count as a remake unless she remade from someone else. I had no idea that Rhianna "umbrella" was a remake. That remake of "my perrogative" by brittney spears sucked to me. I think Pink would have did a better job of that song.

Here are some more remakes that I like:
Boyz II Men- "can you stand the rain"
Boyz II men- "yesterday"
Usher & Monica- "slow jam"
Allure- "all cried out"
Blackstreet- Love is in need (it was by stevie wonder)
D'angelo & erykah Badu- your precious love
Justin timberlake, Monica, Brittney Spears, and other artists- "what's going on" by Marvin Gaye

Dear Lpc26 the song Respect was first released by Otis Redding 2 years prior to its remake by Aretha in 1967 and for Umbrella you are right I heard it by a british group where they mixed up the numbers and after thorough checking it seems they made an awful remake of the original not the other way round.

Dear Guru I thought I'd hear from you by now what are your fav. covers man?

Gloomy, never mention Britney spear's Perogative again. Sickening song hahaha. I heard that the first time and was ready to break down and cry.

I'll add onto what bunky said
All 4 One - I Swear

Now you guys have me wanting to check out some of the originals here. I really want to here Kate Bush's This Woman's Work as to me, Maxwell MAKES that song.

So I don't knw how your list made me think of this song Havok, but II D Extreme's Up On The Roof is another awesome cover!

And Babyface's Not Going Nowhere is NOT a cover, but it's on a cover album. And that song is one of the best. So I'll include it.
