I keep getting tricked by the "Whats your favorite cover" thread that its about album artwork (even though the first time I read, and responded to, it, it wasn't confusing at all!)

So, what R&B album covers are your favorite?

Even though I wasn't a huge fan of the album as a whole, I really liked the cover for "Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya" with all the old style microphones, very classy.

Hey DJGee this is a hard topic actually as maybe 80% of these albums are portraits of the artists but in my opinion it's either Michael Jackson' Dangerous although you can't get exactly his idea, or Boyz II Men's Remedy.

Its funny because me and my brother were just discussing how much we liked that cover to "NSMW" a few days ago.

I dont know why, but I always liked the way Johhny Gill was standing on the LSG cover. At the same time, I hated Gerald Levert's stance on that same cover.

I also like the cover to Mario's "Turning Point". I guess its the whole "all white" vibe its got going.

Gloomy, you are right. When you look at most album covers, they are just the artist sitting in one position or another. However, even with that in mind, I like Gerald Levert's Love & Consequence's art (http://www.rnbhaven.com/90s-music/album-reviews/Love-And-Consequences/265)

It's fairly standard fair for him with him brooding, but it works well as the album is pretty dark throughout.

I also really like the cover of "Where I Wanna Be" by Donell Jones....something about the hat, guitar and cigar screamed "smooth" to me when i first got this cd

I also love teh cover of Mint Condition's "Definition of a Band"

Since we're talking about good covers, we may as well talk about the bad. I have to say that I absolutley hate the cover to bobby brown's "Bobby" album. WTH was he thinking?
